What we offer
Children’s and young adult groups and activities
  • Family Film Club  - free screenings of U-rated films. Just drop in.
  • Lego Club – drop in for fun with Lego and chat with friends. Ages 4-11. 
  • Rhyme Time – songs and rhymes for 0-2 year olds and parents and carers. Just drop in.
  • Sensory Libraries - relaxed, unstructured sessions in the children’s area, with lights lowered, sensory floor projections and sensory toys available. Ideal for families who may otherwise find it difficult to access the library due to additional needs, however the space is open to all. Just drop in. 
  • Story Stomp – fun session for 2-4 year olds and their parents and carers to follow on from Rhyme Time. Just drop in.

  • IT Help - support from our friendly volunteers, using library PCs or your own device. Book a place in advance.
  • Living Room in the Library - informal drop-in with puzzles, board games and refreshments, and occasional speakers or activities. Just drop in.
  • Local Interest Coffee Mornings - come and enjoy refreshments, a talk and discussion on a different topic of local interest each month. Just drop in.
  • Making Space - friendly, informal session with refreshments, chat, and optional craft activities, in partnership with Welcome Here Stratford. Just drop in.
  • Shakespeare for All  - join experts from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust as they read through Shakespeare's Complete Works. Read, or simply sit back and listen. Just drop in.
  • Stratford Library Reading Group.

Safe Place

Stratford Library is a Safe Place where you can go to get help if you feel unsafe or at risk when you are out and about.

We will help you contact your support worker, family member, carer or the police. You will know it’s a Safe Place as it will have a sticker in the window.
