Apply for a School Streets permit
If you require a School Streets permit, please email schoolstreets@warwickshire.gov.uk with the following information:
If you are a resident
Proof of address
You must provide proof of address clearly showing your name and address. You can provide one of the following documents.
- A utility bill or financial statement dated within the last three months
- A Council Tax document for the current tax year
- A fully signed, termed tenancy agreement. We only require the pages that show the tenant names, property address, tenancy term dates and signatures
- An official letter from an organisation such as HRMC, NHS, benefits agency, or the local council - dated within the last three months
- A payslip dated within the last three months
Proof you are the vehicle's registered keeper
You must prove that you are the registered keeper, clearly showing your name, address and vehicle registration. Your vehicle must be registered to the address within the zone.
You can provide one of the following documents:
- Front cover of your vehicle registration document (V5C)
- Company letter (for a company car)
- Long-term lease agreement
- New keeper supplement
- Sales invoice
- Lease agreement registered to your employer
If you are a regular visitor (e.g. registered/unregistered carer)
Covering letter from the resident or care agency
You will need to provide a letter either:
- from the resident confirming that they reside at the address and that you are a regular visitor (including unregistered carers), or
- from the care agency stating that you are a carer for the resident.
Proof you are the vehicle's registered keeper
You must provide a document that proves you are the registered keeper and clearly shows your name, address and vehicle registration.
You can provide one of the following documents.
- Front cover of your vehicle registration document (V5C)
- Company letter (for a company car)
- Long-term lease agreement
- New keeper supplement
- Sales invoice
- Lease agreement registered to your employer
If you hold a Blue Badge
All Blue Badge holders can apply for an exemption from a School Street restriction.
- A photo of your Blue Badge clearly showing the expiry date and badge number
- Registration numbers for up to 3 vehicles
Discretionary exemptions
If you require a School Streets permit for a reason that is not listed above, please email schoolstreets@warwickshire.gov.uk with your request and the team will consider your requirement and respond within 10 working days.
