Nuneaton marketing agency looks to grow after making first hire
Nuneaton-based LAJ Marketing is expanding after hiring its first employee, following support from the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce.
Founder Luke Jones launched the agency during the Covid-19 pandemic after 12 years in manufacturing and completing a five-year business and marketing degree with the Open University. Spotting a gap for SME-focused marketing services, Luke quickly grew from one client to dozens, leaving little time for planning.
Through the Warwickshire Business Resilience and Growth programme, adviser Jason Barnes helped Luke create a growth strategy and assess the right time to recruit. In June, apprentice Jade Leavesley joined to assist with content creation, freeing Luke to focus on strategy and business development.
LAJ Marketing now offers graphic design, web design, email marketing, and social media services, with plans for further hires. Luke urges other start-ups to seek support: “It’s invaluable when you’re on your own.”
The service is funded by UK Government via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Warwickshire County Council. It is part of the Business Growth Warwickshire Programme.
Luke’s full story can be read in our Warwickshire Means Business newsletter.
