- Barnardo's Warwickshire Supported Lodgings - Do you have a spare room? Could you relate to young people aged 16+? Could you help with budgeting, cooking and other independence skills? Could you encourage them in education, employment or training? Barnardo's has an opportunity for you to become an approved Supported Lodgings Provider. Supported Lodgings is an accommodation option available to young people aged between 16 - 25 leaving local authority care. You could receive a paid allowance of approx. £140 per week to offer a young person a spare room in your home and support them to live independently. This is an opportunity you could do alongside your current employment/social commitments. Full training and support is available. - Doorway - We are a small independent charity working with vulnerable young people to: Resolve their immediate housing crisis. Define any problems underlying their housing crisis. Re-establish positive family contact where appropriate. Assist young people who want to return home. Learn independent living skills. Support the transition to independence. Obtain relevant statutory services and entitlements. Motivate and assist them to find training and employment opportunities. Prevent homelessness by raising awareness of the issues through school sessions.
