There is an exciting range of fresh food and local specialities available in our region for you to enjoy. Farmers markets and local produce markets are good for farmers, rural communities, market towns, the environment, and your health.

What makes a genuine farmers market?

There are three golden rules that should apply to a genuine farmers’ market:

  • Producers must be local, defined as within a specified radius of the market site (normally 30 miles)
  • Producers must sell their own produce. All secondary produce should contain local ingredients where possible
  • The person behind the stall will be the producer, a close family member or an employee directly involved with the production, allowing you to ask questions and get to know the products better.

In Warwickshire, there is a variety of markets that offer local produce, this includes Farmer’s Markets and other local produce events:

  • Southam Produce Market
  • Kineton Farmers’ Market
  • North Cotswold Farmers’ Market
    Coleshill Farmers’ Market
  • Polesworth Farmers’ Market.

Country Market events are held at:

  • Alcester
  • Royal Leamington Spa.
