Warwickshire County Council Survey Team was established in order to monitor traffic survey data across Warwickshire. Alongside working with external suppliers, WCC have the ability to carry out internal traffic surveys.
Please find below a list of surveys that WCC can undertake:
- Automatic Traffic Counts (ATC) – typically tubes and radars.
- Classified Turning Counts (CTC)
- Active Travel Survey (Pedestrians and Cyclists)
- Fixed Mobile AI Surveys
- Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) – Origin and Destination/Journey Times
- Parking Survey
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV/Drone) (Please contact us as this may not be the case)
Survey companies or individuals require a permit (at a cost) to install apparatus for traffic surveys. You can request a request a permit online.
Contact us or report a problem with survey equipment
If you have requested a new, existing survey or a MND data, you should be contacted within 1 week regarding the request by a member of the team.
Since the survey team may have equipment out across the county, we kindly ask the public to notify us if you see a problem with the equipment, such as broken tubes or vehicles parked on the equipment. You can do this by sending an email with photos, the location and a description of what has happened, and we will try to deal with it within 1 day during weekdays.
