Up and coming rap artist, Aaron Woodhouse has picked up the mic to help raise the awareness of the simple steps we all need to take to stay safe from Covid-19.

Aaron who works for his family business has been producing music for a couple of years now and is well known locally for his musical talents. So, when the opportunity to collaborate with him arose, Warwickshire County Council were happy to take on the challenge and the end results have not disappointed.

Leader of Warwickshire County Council, Councillor Izzi Seccombe said:

“As an organisation we push boundaries, challenge perceptions and strive to be creative when engaging with our communities. Sometimes we even surprise ourselves with the collaborations we make. In this instance we were looking to target younger audiences and harder to reach communities with essential Covid-19 messages. From the initial concepts, to the creative Aaron has delivered is incredible. He really has captured where we are now as a community and the essential messages people need to take on board around hand washing, social distancing and keeping each other safe.

“I would like to say a huge thank you Aaron for being open to work with us. As a Beacon authority it’s key that we lead the way in innovation and I believe with this production that we are doing just that.”

Talking about the track, Coventry rap artist Aaron Woodhouse said

“I was clearly very surprised when I got the call from Warwickshire County Council, it was completely out of the blue. Covid-19 has had a real impact on our everyday living and like everyone, I have struggled not being able to see my parents and grandparents. So, to be able to play my part and tell my story with the help of family and friends from across the world has been incredible. I just hope it makes a real impact and gets people thinking about their community.”
