Studley speed limit, waiting restrictions and prohibition of U-turns - A4023 Coventry Highway (TR/10797)

Scheme overview

Under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, we propose to:

• impose a 50 mph speed limit on the length of roads mentioned in Schedule 1 below
• prohibit vehicles form stopping at all times as described Schedule 2 below
• prohibit U-turns as described in Schedule 3 below

Schedule 1

50 mph Speed Limited A4023 Coventry Highway, Studley

1. A4023 Coventry Highway (eastbound towards northbound slip) - From the Worcestershire County / Warwickshire County Boundary extending eastwards for 246 metres towards the northbound slip onto the A435 Birmingham Road.
2. A4023 Coventry Highway (eastbound towards southbound slip) - From the Worcestershire County / Warwickshire County Boundary extending eastwards for 444 metres towards the southbound slip onto the A435 Birmingham Road.
3. A4023 Coventry Highway (westbound) - From a point at the transition on the northbound slip from the A435 Birmingham Road onto the A4023 Coventry Highway extending westwards for 463 metres to the Warwickshire / Worcestershire County boundary.

Schedule 2

24-hour clearway A4023 Coventry Highway / A435 Birmingham Road, Studley

1. A4023 Eastbound Carriageway and Westbound Carriageway from the Warwickshire County Boundary for the remainder of the length of the A4023 in Warwickshire.
2. Slip Road from A4023 eastbound to A435 northbound.
3. Slip Road from A4023 eastbound to A435 southbound.
4. Slip Road from A435 southbound to A4023 westbound.
5. Slip Road from A435 northbound to A4023 westbound.
6. A435 northbound Carriageway from Warwickshire County Boundary southwards for 620 metres.
7. A435 southbound Carriageway from Warwickshire County Council Boundary southwards for 625 metres.

Schedule 3

Prohibition of U-turns A4023 Coventry Highway, Studley

1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle travelling eastbound on A4023 Coventry Highway, Studley to perform a U-turn vehicular movement onto the westbound carriageway as shown coloured grey on the Plan TR10798 at the (as yet constructed) signalised junction of the A4023 Coventry Highway after the border between Warwickshire County and Worcestershire County.
