Our aim is for young people in Warwickshire to have a brighter future. We work with young people aged 11 to 18 years.
We’re a small team of dedicated, professionally qualified youth workers who use our knowledge, skills and experience to build positive relationships with young people.
Good youth work promotes young people’s personal and social development and enables them to have a voice, influence and place in their communities and society as a whole. It builds resilience and character and gives young people the confidence and life skills they need to live, learn, work and achieve. As a service we are keen to support professional and personal development to help our staff deliver effective youth work.
Training and development opportunities are available to our workers at all levels and is consistent with National Youth Agency Curriculum.

Part time assistant youth worker
This role is usually part time and in the evenings. The role is to support group work or youth clubs, assisting in the delivery of activities and issue based work with young people. It is crucial to the delivery of our youth work. You will need to be qualified or working towards an NVQ level 2 in youth work.
Part time worker in charge
This role is to lead and deliver specific youth projects and youth clubs leading on youth work delivery. A worker in charge will also support young people on a one to one basis and take an active role in supporting assistant youth workers. You will need to be qualified or working towards NVQ level 3 in youth work.
Apprentice - studying the JNC level 3 diploma in youth work
An apprentice works alongside a youth worker supporting on daily youth work delivery. As they become more confident and experienced they are supported to take on more responsibilities. The aim is that they could access a foundation degree in youth work and become professionally qualified.
Trainee youth worker
This is a fixed term role that is linked to a university undergraduate/postgraduate/masters degree or JNC qualification in youth work. The youth worker will deliver one to one support, group work and detached work and also spend part of the week studying.
Youth worker
Full time youth workers lead on all our delivery: one to one, group work, projects and detached as well as line managing the trainee youth workers and workers in charge. You will need to be qualified to at least degree level in a JNC recognised youth work course.
Team leader (youth work)
The team leaders manage the service ensuring the delivery meets our priorities and is delivering to the youth work curriculum. A team leader line manages the service allocations and the youth workers and ensures that staff are receiving appropriate training and support. They are also responsible for the data and budget management. You will need to be qualified to at least degree level in a JNC recognised Youth Work course.
We like to be flexible and creative in our response and really listen to the voices of young people. The element of choice runs through all our work. Young people must choose to work with us, it cannot be done to them.
We currently have a cohort of 6 trainees who are studying at university to gain the JNC (degree and postgraduate level) Youth Worker qualification.
