Sense

Sense support people who are deafblind or have complex disabilities to communicate, experience the world and fulfil their potential.  

Sense provide: 

  • Information and advice about living with complex disabilities, including deafblindness, on topics including conditions, impairments and disabilities, complex disability at each life stage, ways of communicating, benefits and money.  
  • Support for children and young people including play and communication sessions, access to multi-sensory impairment (MSI) specialists, a befriending service, activities and more. Sense provides information on how to support your disabled child including support in the early years, how to play with your disabled child and getting the right support at school or college. Sense also provide support for siblings and young carers.
