Careers

At Warwickshire Legal Services, we run a very different kind of in-house legal team to what you may expect. We have the freedom to practise as a business within Warwickshire County Council, generating our own income from internal teams and a diverse pool of public sector clients.

In Warwickshire Legal Services we have over 120 ambitious and professional staff working in teams across a multitude of specialist fields. Our lawyers are drawn from a variety of backgrounds and qualifications. Some are from large private practice firms whilst others have developed their careers in local government and the public sector. This breadth of experience adds further value to the award-winning service that we provide to our clients.

Few councils operate in this way, and our dynamic and solution-based approach gives you a unique environment to further your career amongst a motivated group of innovative legal professionals, working with diverse clients and on challenging projects to make Warwickshire the best it can be, now and for future generations.

Our people

Our people are our most valuable resource. We fully fund all of our staff’s practising certificates, we actively support staff in their career development through internal and external training opportunities, and we support flexible working arrangements for both remote working and agile working hours so that our staff can find the right fit to do their job with a better work-life balance.
