How we work

There are a variety of roles at Warwickshire County Council, and while some are site based, many are agile roles with hybrid working from different locations.

We have sites across the County to support the people of Warwickshire. Our main offices are in Shire Hall, Warwick and Kings House, Bedworth. We have developed these spaces for hybrid working and you will learn more about team spaces, desk booking and collaboration spaces when you join.

There are lots of different ways of working. You may be based at a site directly helping customers (for example, Libraries, Waste Sites and School Crossing patrols) or out and about at different locations (such as Registrations, Forestry, Archaeology, Engineering and Social Services), or you may be in a hybrid role that allows you to work from home and different locations.

We also have varying working hours and patterns, yours will be in your terms and conditions. Whatever your hours and contract, we understand how important it is to maintain a healthy work/life balance, particularly when you’re juggling your work and personal life.

More about hybrid working

We’re flexible in how or where we work and know there are many ways to do a job well. We have adult to adult conversations and individual teams agree working principles that work best for them. We understand that people work differently so at WCC, we ensure that you can work and grow in a way that suits you:
