We cannot recommend a particular contractor but provide a list of Street Works Accredited Contractors, who we believe to be qualified, insured and have previously demonstrated their competence in carrying out this type of work.

However, should your initial application be approved, you have the right to employ a contractor of your choice subject to conditions that will be explained at the next stage of the application process.

It is a requirement that the contractor has Public Liability Insurance with a minimum cover of £10m and is accredited under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 to work within the public highway.

After the work is completed, the appointed contractor provides a one year guarantee. After that period the county council is responsible for maintenance.

These are companies who have the appropriate street works accreditation, which is required for working in the Public Highway.

This is NOT a list of contractors who are recommended by Warwickshire County Council, but have carried out work in the Public Highway to the required standard and inspections.
