What is the Parent Carer Support Pathway?
Provided you and your child (under 18 years of age) meets the criteria the pathway allows for a wellbeing conversation to be held with you so we can best understand your needs as a parent carer and then provide the right advice and support.
The Children and Families Act (2014) introduced important provisions for parent carers of disabled children. We have a duty to assess the needs of parent carers of disabled children. This is known as the Parent Carer Support Pathway in Warwickshire.
Practitioners will use a wellbeing conversation to identify needs and tailor available support. The conversation will identify your strengths and your needs as a parent carer. This will lead to better-informed decisions about the package of support you receive making sure you get the right help, at the right time and in the right place.
