Assessment Identification and Monitoring
Teachers to consider the following:
- Has recent assessment information (including curriculum based assessment and any additional standardised assessment information as appropriate) been used to gain a better understanding of the young person’s learning level and to identify the barriers to their learning in the classroom?
- Are there any targets/outcomes that young people with learning needs are working towards?
- Are young people are involved in the development and evaluation of learning support strategies in class?
- Has the engagement and motivation of the class group monitored?
- Are appropriate interventions planned that can be delivered within class through the curriculum?
