Terrorism

The threat from terrorism in the UK remains real and serious, so everyone needs to be vigilant to any risk of terrorism.

Future attacks are likely to be by 'self-initiated' terrorists who are not part of a terrorist organisation. They may use low-sophistication methods such as a knife or vehicle.

As a result, it's important to keep an eye out for people who may be at risk of radicalisation. Radicalisation can result from contact with those with extremist views, or from accessing extremist material online.

The young, vulnerable or disenfranchised are among those at increased risk of radicalisation.
