Proposed works
These works form part of the Historic Bridge Maintenance Programme.
The works are expected to include:
- Rebuild eroded parapet walls
- Repairs to the corroded tie rods
- Resurfacing the carriageway
- Masonry repair works to the structure
- Scour repair works
These works will maintain the highway structure function for both pedestrians and vehicular traffic which in turn will increase the service life of the structure and reduce future maintenance costs.
Works are expected to start in spring 2021 (dependant on securing the associated consents and weather conditions) and last for approximately three months.
