Services offering crisis support
Call 999 in a life threatening emergency (for example if you have seriously harmed yourself by taking a drug overdose). Alternatively, go straight to A&E, or ask someone else to call 999 or take you to A&E.
If you or someone you are with needs urgent mental health support or you need to make a mental health self-referral, call 111 and select the mental health option. This is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
For people who are deaf or have hearing loss, there is a website to connect to a local crisis service – NHS 111 – SignVideo.
A person can also access NHS 111 online via 111.nhs.uk.

Shout is a free, confidential and 24/7 text messaging service for anyone in the UK who needs support.

Coventry and Warwickshire Mental Health Access Hubs
24/7 Crisis line offering immediate support and advice for those needing urgent help for a mental health condition. GPs/ other professionals can refer, or individuals can refer themselves. Individual will be assessed over the phone and triaged for a clinical (NHS) review, as appropriate.

Coventry & Warwickshire Safe Haven (for ages 16+)
Provides out-of-hours, friendly, non-clinical crisis support every day between 6pm–11pm for anyone aged 16+. Contactable by phone, text, email or face-to-face at drop-ins.

Papyrus (HOPELineUK)
Offers confidential support and practical advice:
- For children and young people under the age of 35 who are experiencing thoughts of suicide. The service will take calls from over 35s, offering support for one call while also finding a suitable alternative service that can continue to support.
- For anyone concerned that a young person could be thinking about suicide
