The HROD Service develops the Our People Plan which sets out the approach that will be taken to ensure the Council has the right people in the right place with the right skills and behaviours to enable to delivery of the Council Plan. The HROD Team comprises groups of professionals that exist to deliver high quality policy, products and services across the key HR disciplines.

Local Services delivers a range of universal neighbourhood services for residents and visitors to Warwickshire.  

Libraries  

The purpose and role of libraries is to fulfil Warwickshire County Council's statutory obligation to provide a comprehensive and efficient library service under the Public Libraries and Museums Act 1964. Warwickshire Libraries is also an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation providing a range of creative and learning programmes.

 Heritage and Culture  

Heritage & Culture Warwickshire manages 5 professional areas of operation : Museums, Archives, Arts, Heritage Learning and Local Studies across 5 main sites of operation.

The service provides an annual learning and engagement programme, including curriculum-based schools programmes and community activity, with a focus on providing the broadest possible access to Warwickshire's Heritage & Culture. The service also has a strategic role in supporting the development of the Heritage and Culture infrastructure of the County.

 Registration Service  

Warwickshire Registration Service provides a statutory service for the registration of births, deaths, stillbirths and marriages. The service supports key life events.  

Services   

  • Notices of marriage and civil partnership (civil preliminaries) for all Warwickshire residents, not just for those marrying or forming a civil partnership in Warwickshire.   
  • The service also maintains births, marriages and deaths providing copy certificates when requested.  
  • The service is required to complete the registration of religious marriages that have taken place across the county.   
  • It conducts around 2,700 civil ceremonies a year, in both our own venues and 90+ licensed venues approved by the Registration Service. The service also offers a range of bespoke ceremonies.  
  • Citizenship ceremonies for Warwickshire residents.  
  • Naming and renewal of vows ceremonies.
