Use of data and insight
Data and intelligence is a key part of our quality assurance approach and helps us to make informed decisions about the services we commission to provide care and support for our vulnerable adults and young people.
Multiple data sources are collated to help us build a comprehensive picture of the quality of care provided by our commissioned services. The data is focused on being customer centred and includes:
- the views of those in receipt of care and support
- published data such as CQC and Ofsted ratings
- data supplied by providers through quarterly performance return - intelligence gathered from a wide range of individuals who may observe the quality of care and support delivered
- information on the financial viability of the provider
This data is presented through a quality dashboard, which is actively used for monitoring the quality of provision and planning of quality assurance activity and provides ready access to a range of data regarding the quality of providers.
Through the constant gathering and analysis of data, we are able to identify trends in quality to report the needs of our providers and the overall quality of life for our customers.
