Proposed works

These works form part of Warwickshire County Council’s Historic Bridge Maintenance Programme and comprise the following primary activities:

  • Conservation masonry repairs to the bridge elevations, underside and balustrades.
  • Resurfacing the carriageway over the structure.
  • Repairs to the footpath pavement.

These works will maintain the highway structure function for both pedestrians and vehicular traffic, which in turn will increase the service life of the structure and reduce future maintenance costs.

Works are expected to start in spring 2024 (dependant on securing the associated consents and weather conditions) and last for approximately eight months.
