The works consist of widening the B4429 Ashlawn Road on the eastbound approach to the junction with Barby Rd and Onley Lane, to create two lanes. The junction will also be converted to a signalised junction, with new controlled crossings for pedestrians introduced. The scheme also involves installing new highway drainage, traffic signs, street lighting, kerbing, footway/cycleway and new road markings. Existing cycleway provision will be enhanced and minor realignment of Route 41 will be required. Resurfacing of the junction will also be carried out. |
