A426 Rugby/Dunchurch/Barby Road - Barby Road junction improvements
Activity

The works consist of widening the B4429 Ashlawn Road on the eastbound approach to the junction with Barby Rd and Onley Lane, to create two lanes. The junction will also be converted to a signalised junction, with new controlled crossings for pedestrians introduced. The scheme also involves installing new highway drainage, traffic signs, street lighting, kerbing, footway/cycleway and new road markings.

Existing cycleway provision will be enhanced and minor realignment of Route 41 will be required. Resurfacing of the junction will also be carried out.

Status of works The s278 technical review is 90% complete. The scheme is to be tendered by March.

Scheme Overview - The works consisted of a single toucan crossing on Ashlawn Road and a dual toucan crossing on Dunchurch Road arms of the Cock Robin Roundabout.
